This pose helps enhance posture and gives a sense of balance.

Start on your knees and hands, then lift your glutes toward the ceiling, lifting your legs and making an downward-facing V with your body. Keep your hands even with your shoulders and feet even with your hips. This pose lengthens the hamstrings, shoulders, and calves while reinforcing the arms and legs. It also helps to soothe the mind and reduce stress.

Extend your arms overhead, palms inward. This pose encourages balance, improves stamina, and expands the chest and hips.

4. Child’s Pose

This pose is a resting posture that provides a soft stretch for the back, hips, and thighs. Start on your on the mat, then sit back on your hips and move your arms forward, placing your forehead to the mat. It’s suitable for resting between difficult poses or quieting your thoughts when feeling stressed.

5. Tree Balance Pose

This pose is a beneficial balance pose for yoga novices. Stand tall, shift your weight onto one foot, and place the sole of your opposite foot on your thigh or calf (avoid the knee). Place your palms together in front of your chest or extend them above your head. This pose builds your legs, develops coordination, and enhances concentration.
